We said goodbye to our family in Vicenza and drove to Cinque Terre today. After getting settled in our cozy little hotel room, we went down to one of the little towns and dipped our toes in the Mediterranean sea (I've never seen clearer or bluer water in my life) and just kind of hung out for the day.

Dolce far niente -- the sweetness of doing nothing. 

Tomorrow, we head to Pisa + Florence.

This weekend my (large) family flew in from around the country to celebrate this lovely lady turning 90. If you ask me, she doesn't look a day over 70. It's beautiful how so many of us can come together to celebrate one person's life. My grandma is the most inspiring + wonderful woman I've ever had the privilege of knowing. She means more to me than anything... I don't know what I would do without her. Here's to you, G. In her own wise words: hot damn!
